When I did a grocery shop on Saturday I was shocked to find that not only the canned goods, frozen goods, and cleaning supply shelves empty, but also all fresh poultry was completely sold out and the produce department had only broccoli rabe and lettuce available making it very difficult to service clients.
I had hoped that by taking the extra precautions (ordering groceries online to avoid crowds at grocery stores, self-checking every morning to ensure I have no symptoms, stepping up our already safe food practices to the point of obsessively washing hands and disinfecting all surfaces repeatedly, then doing drop-off orders in coolers to avoid any possible infectious contact) I would be able to continue, but I tried to order groceries from Amazon Fresh last night and there were zero delivery windows available for the next 3 days.
Now Governor Newson has requested seniors and those with underlying health conditions self-isolate. Unfortunately I am auto-immune, so I am following his guidance and regretfully suspending service until further notice due to circumstances beyond my control.
I hope the situation improves soon and pray all of us stay healthy!
